Abstract

Harry Dolan Boivin served for 26 years in the Oregon Legislative Assembly including holding the offices of Speaker of the House and Senate President. The collection is composed of two series: Series I: Oregon Legislature Activity Scrapbooks covering the period 1935-1969 (6.5 linear feet, 13 boxes) and Series II: Personal Papers covering the period 1911-1990 (1 linear foot, 2 boxes).

Doctor Daly of Lakeview Scrapbook

Abstract

Dr. Bernard Daly was a physician, a judge and a legislative representative in the town of Lakeview, Oregon. He actively encouraged young people to attend college, establishing a fund in his will for worthy Lakeview students to attend the University of Oregon. Collection contains of a scrapbook made out of one article: "He Sent a County to College" by Jack Zimmerman, Beaverton Free-Lance Writer of the Sunday Oregonian newspaper, September 18, 1955.

His eight year service in the House of Representatives included holding the position of Speaker of the House and his 18 year service in the Senate, included holding the position of Senate President. Collection contains a scrapbook related to his legislative activity during the years 1964-1965.

Robert Ballard Kennedy was born in Sunnyside, Washington, on November 4, 1919. Much of his life revolved around logging. The collection consists of miscellaneous materials related to his activities as Oregon logger, builder and a State Representative (1980-1982). The collection is divided into two series: Logging and Legislature.
